For thousands of years’ archery has been an important part of human existence. It has won battles, fed families and been the tool of choice for heroes of film and literature. Now, the Cops and Kids Foundation uses archery as a tool to bring police officers and the youth of their communities together.
Archery can be a lifelong activity. Though it is difficult to master, anyone can learn, especially when cops are your teachers. Archery teaches perseverance, concentration, safety, discipline and confidence. Far little in this world is as satisfying as watching an arrow sail down the range and strike the bulls eye!
